Loraas Recycling
Loraas recycle bins have been moved to the Municipal Landfill.
Allowable Items
  1. Cardboard - Make sure to flatten your cardboard and paperboard and place into the bin so that the lid is not ajar. Do not rip into small pieces. Newspaper, flyers, inserts, junk mail, envelopes, magazines, catalogs, telephone books, hardcover books with covers and spine removed, brown paper bags, tissue roll cores, gift and packing paper, paper egg carton, copier paper and no carbon required paper.
  2. Mixed Paper - Place shredded paper into a clear or clear blue bag; do not use a black bag please.
  3. Plastics #1 to #7 with a recycle symbol - Make sure to bag your plastic #4 grocery bags and film together into one bag. Please ensure you remove all caps and lids without a recycling #1 to #7 symbol.
  4. Household Aluminum and Tin - Foil trays, pie plates and household tin cans.  For tin cans , simply place the top back into the container and squeeze closed. Paper can be left on the cans. However, the paper can be removed and recycle that as well.
Please rinse and wipe food residue from all containers. Residual food waste increases the risk of contaminating clean recycles and having these items end up at the landfill is increased.
